I am a married, working mom with two young daughters, ages 3 and 6. I was born and raised in Calgary’s southwest, and I'm happy to be raising my own kids in the communities that I know so well. My husband Steve and I moved from the city centre to Ward 11 in 2013.
For the last 7 years, I have worked for Vibrant Communities Calgary, a non-profit organization that works to reduce poverty in Calgary through systems and policy change. I support business, other non-profits, Government and community volunteers to raise awareness of the root causes of poverty and advance multi-faceted solutions that address this complex issue. Prior, I worked in Employee Relations and Human Resources.
I want to bring a balanced, effective and inclusive approach to City Council. There are 3 pillars to my campaign; thriving neighbourhoods, support services for families and communities, and building a city our kids can be proud of.
